Head-on Audi crash in Wiesbaden leaves three injured and road closed

A serious traffic accident occurred on the Erbenheimer Straße in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt on Friday afternoon, October 3rd. A black Audi and a brown Opel Meriva collided head-on around 14:25, leading to the closure of the road in both directions and significant damage to both vehicles.

The collision resulted in three people being injured. The 21-year-old passenger in the Audi suffered minor injuries, while both drivers, a 22-year-old in the Audi and a 47-year-old in the Opel, were severely injured. All three were treated at the scene and subsequently taken to hospitals for further care.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. In an effort to determine the sequence of events, an expert has been called in by the Wiesbaden Public Prosecutor's Office to reconstruct the accident. Traffic has been rerouted due to the full closure of the Erbenheimer Straße since 14:30.

The accident, which occurred around 14:25 on Friday afternoon, has led to significant damage to both vehicles, with repair costs estimated in the thousands of euros. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and the road remains closed in both directions.
