Hanau’s New Military History Center Opens to Crowds and Acclaim
The Hanau Military History Documentation Center officially opened its doors on November 14, 2025. Located in the Chariseum at Pioneer Park, Hanau-Wolfgang, the new facility has already drawn large crowds and widespread attention from visitors.
The project was led by the Verein zur Förderung des Militärgeschichtlichen Dokumentationszentrums Hanau e.V., with backing from the City of Hanau, Kuffler + Keck 1. Pioneer Hanau eGbR, and Grimm’s Hotel Hanau. Initially, incorrect opening times were shared during the launch, prompting the association to issue an apology for the mistake.
Since its opening, the Documentation Center has become a focal point for history enthusiasts. The corrected schedule and guided tour options aim to accommodate the growing number of visitors. The facility’s success reflects strong local and regional engagement with Hanau’s military history.
