Hanau’s Christmas weekend blends markets, retro games and festive shopping sprees

Hanau is gearing up for a festive weekend packed with Christmas markets, shopping deals, and seasonal events. From November 28 to December 1, visitors can enjoy everything from traditional advent celebrations to retro gaming and street performances.

The celebrations kick off on November 28 with Hanau’s Black Weekend, offering discounts across city centre shops, Stadthof, and Forum Hanau. That same day, Steinheim’s Christmas market opens with a mulled wine ceremony, continuing on November 29 (3 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and November 30 (2 p.m. to 8 p.m.). Meanwhile, Weltladen Großauheim hosts Feierabendshopping, featuring fair-trade crafts, mulled wine, and live music.

The weekend promises a mix of shopping, entertainment, and festive cheer. Events cater to all ages, from children’s rides to retro gaming and seasonal treats. Most activities run across multiple days, giving visitors plenty of chances to join in.
