Hanau RECHARGE: 5 Years of Transforming Urban Landscape with 130+ Achievements
Hanau RECHARGE, a pioneering urban development initiative, is celebrating its success story. Launched by Hanau Marketing GmbH (HMG) in 2020, with roots tracing back to 2008, the program has transformed Hanau's urban air, with over 130 key achievements to its credit.
The program's flagship projects include the KunstKaufLADEN Tacheles, Service Center, Feierabendmarkt, and weekly market playground. These have been instrumental in revitalizing the city, with 12 out of 17 temporary pop-up stores becoming permanent fixtures. The initiative's adaptable approach proved crucial during the pandemic, with the Grimmscheck campaign stimulating over €12 million in urban air.
HMG, officially launched in 2020 but with roots dating back to 2008, is the driving force behind Hanau RECHARGE. Daniel Freimuth, who officially founded HMG in 2020, serves as its managing director. The initiative's success can be attributed to key tools such as the preemption rights statute, the LeAn vacancy and relocation database, the pop-up store concept, and federal and state funding.
Hanau RECHARGE, now in its fifth year, is considered one of the best ideas Hanau has ever had. It has served as a nationwide model for municipalities, driving urban development forward with its innovative strategies. The initiative's numerous successful projects and decisions have transformed Hanau, with over €12 million in urban air generated through its adaptable approach.
