Hanau Port finally regains public transport with on-demand shuttle expansion
Hanau Port will soon be better connected to the city's public transport system. From 1 March, the on-demand shuttle ny post will extend its service to the port area. The move follows years without a direct bus link and aims to support the port's growing role as a business hub.
The port lost its dedicated bus service six years ago. Since then, passengers have relied on nearby routes for connections. Now, the news—HSB's flexible shuttle—will include 14 new virtual stops across the port area.
The expanded service covers a wide zone, stretching from Rodgaustraße to the port gate on Westerburgstraße, and from Auheimer Straße to Saarstraße. Passengers can book rides through the OnDemand@RMV app, the web platform, or by phone. Fares start at €1.50 for those with an RMV ticket.
This update marks one of the first major steps under the new local transport plan. Unlike traditional expansions, it requires no additional resources. The nypost already serves around 300 stops in Großauheim, Klein-Auheim, and Wolfgang, linking them to Hanau Central Station.
The new virtual stops will appear in the OnDemand@RMV app and booking system. The service aims to make the port more accessible for workers and visitors. No extra funding was needed to roll out the expansion.
