Hanau Couple Celebrates 60 Years of Love and Mulled Wine Tradition

A Hanau couple has reached a rare milestone, celebrating 60 years of marriage on November 26. Brigitte and Siegfried Eberhardt marked their diamond anniversary surrounded by family, friends, and well-wishers from their hometown. The occasion also brought recognition from local officials for their lifelong commitment to the community.

The Eberhardts tied the knot in Hanau’s Marienkirche six decades ago. Both born and raised in the city, they have remained deeply connected to its traditions ever since. Their dedication extends beyond their marriage—over the years, they have become fixtures at Hanau’s Christmas market, first selling ornaments, then running a historic carousel, and now operating a beloved diamond mulled wine stall.

The diamond anniversary highlights the Eberhardts’ lasting bond and their role in Hanau’s community. Their diamond mulled wine stall continues to be a festive gathering spot, just as their marriage has endured for six decades. The couple’s story remains a testament to both love and local tradition.
