Gudensberg's November: History, Culture, and Community Events
Gudensberg, a town rich in history and culture, is hosting a variety of events this November. From exhibitions to concerts, there's something for everyone.
Kicking off the month is the exhibition 'They Are Human Beings Too', open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with special openings available. It tells the story of Jewish life in North Hesse, including the tale of Hannelore Kaschmann, deported at just 10 years old. The exhibition is a collaboration between journalists Horst Seidenfaden and Harry Soremski, historian Dr. Christian Presche, and is funded by the German Federal Ministry.
Operation Christmas Child, supported by local churches and schools, hosts a packing party on November 2, 2â4 PM. The town also commemorates Kristallnacht with a memorial event on November 9, 5:00 PM at Martinskirche ObervorschĂźtz.
The Distel Cabaret presents 'Pain Therapy' on November 12, and Brigitte Brommer leads a guided walk 'Gudensbergâs Legends and Folktales' on November 2. Youth Services hosts a free lantern-making workshop on November 5. Musical-literary evenings take place on November 8 and 9, featuring singer Jutta Gerling-Haist and actress Verena Plangger, and the ObervorschĂźtz Choral Society performs on November 9, 2025.
