Focus on Economy - Greens Aim to Finalize Election Manifesto - Green Party shifts focus to economy in Baden-Württemberg’s 2026 election manifesto

The Green Party in Baden-Württemberg will finalise its election manifesto this Sunday. The event takes place during a party conference in Ludwigsburg, starting at 9:00 AM. The document will shape their campaign for the state elections on March 8, 2026.

The draft manifesto places strong emphasis on economic issues. Lead candidate Cem Özdemir highlighted these themes in his main speech. This marks a shift from the party’s traditional focus on climate protection and transport policy, which now appear later in the text.

The final version of the manifesto will be agreed upon during the conference. Delegates will gather in Ludwigsburg to review and approve the proposals. No specific individuals from the party’s inner leadership have been named as directly involved in drafting the document.

Once approved, the manifesto will guide the Greens’ campaign ahead of the 2026 state elections. Economic policies will take centre stage, alongside long-standing environmental priorities. The party aims to present a balanced platform to voters in Baden-Württemberg.
