Gold Prices Surge to Record Highs in Dubai and Globally
Gold prices have soared to record highs in Dubai and globally. Spot gold is nearing its best monthly performance in 14 years, while local prices have seen their largest single-day jump on record.
In Dubai, 24K gold reached an all-time high of Dh466 per gram on Tuesday, surging by Dh5.25. This is the highest single-day increase ever recorded in the city. Meanwhile, 22K gold also saw a significant rise, climbing Dh4.5 to Dh431.25 per gram.
Globally, spot gold is trading at $3,864.39 per ounce, up nearly one percent. It is on track for its best month in 14 years, boosted by both speculative flows and structural demand. Gold prices have surged through fresh record highs above $3,850 an ounce.
Market strategists, including Louis Schoeman of Pepperstone, have not provided specific comments on the current gold prices in Dubai. Meanwhile, a potential US government shutdown could disrupt official economic data and statistical releases, potentially impacting markets and policymakers.
