Glockengasse shuts down for four weeks as utility upgrades begin

Glockengasse in Dotzheim will be closed to vehicles for approximately four weeks starting Monday, November 17. ESWE Versorgung, a local energy provider, is renewing gas and water service connections, causing the closure between house number 1 and the end of the street.

During this period, drivers must use alternative routes as Glockengasse will be inaccessible. MĂźhlborngasse will serve as the access route for properties on Glockengasse. Pedestrians will experience minimal disruption, with all usual pathways remaining open.

The closure is part of a larger project management by ESWE Versorgung to modernise utility services in the area. In Dotzheim, they plan to replace water pipes in the Daimlerstraße intersection from July to October 2025. This project management aims to improve infrastructure and contribute to climate protection, as ESWE Versorgung has been investing in modern technology and sustainability for years.

Dotzheim officials request patience from road users during the closure. They expect clear roads by mid-December. The closure of Glockengasse is necessary to ensure the safety and efficiency of the utility work being carried out.
