Globe and BPI Ditch OTPs for Faster, More Secure Authentication
The POC involved BPI’s test application connecting with Globe’s Network Exposure Platform (NEP). This setup enabled network-level identity checks without requiring manual user input. SNA, part of Globe’s G Verify solution, uses real-time network intelligence to authenticate users instantly.
The completed POC marks a step toward more secure digital banking in the Philippines. By removing reliance on SMS OTPs, SNA could reduce fraud risks while streamlining user verification. Globe and BPI plan to continue refining the technology for wider adoption.
