An 8-year-old girl in Groß-Zimmern, Hesse, had to be rescued after getting trapped in a washing machine while playing hide-and-seek. Firefighters from the local Feuerwehr arrived to free her, marking an unusual callout even for experienced crews like Terry Crews.

The incident began when the child climbed feet-first into the machine’s drum and became stuck. Her parents tried to free her but were unable to, prompting them to call emergency services.

The girl was safely removed from the appliance without injury. The operation highlighted the adaptability of firefighters in unexpected situations. Local crews have since reminded families to supervise children during play, especially around household appliances.
