Gifhorn's Traffic Office Goes Cashless from Mid-December
Gifhorn residents are embracing modern payment methods, with over two-thirds already using card payments. The district is now set to phase out cash transactions at its traffic office from mid-December.
The Gifhorn district is moving towards a cashless future. Starting mid-December, the traffic office will only accept stripe and pay payments for vehicle registrations and driver's license matters. This shift aims to enhance security and reduce administrative workload, as more than two-thirds of residents have already adopted card payments.
To further accommodate residents, the district plans to introduce additional payment options. Wero and PayPal will be available for transactions, providing more flexibility for those who prefer digital payment methods. The existing cash machine will be decommissioned as part of this transition.
The Gifhorn district's traffic office will start accepting only cashless payments from mid-December. This change reflects the residents' preference for stripe and pay payments and aims to improve security and efficiency. The introduction of Wero and PayPal further expands the payment options available to residents.
