Giessen Mobility Fair 2026 teaches parents vital child car safety skills

Parents will have the chance to learn about child car safety at the Giessen Mobility Fair (GIMO) in 2026. The event, taking place on February 28 and March 1, will feature an exhibition stand dedicated to securing children properly in vehicles. Organised by the Prevention and Communication Division (Prävko) of the Giessen Regulatory Office, the stand aims to reduce common strapping errors and improve safety awareness.

The Prävko team will host the stand in Hall 3, where visitors can explore different child seat models. Staff will be available to answer questions and offer practical demonstrations on correct installation. The team stresses that proper restraints play a key role in preventing injuries during accidents.

Britax Römer has supplied child seats for the stand, allowing parents to test strapping techniques firsthand. The exhibition will highlight frequent mistakes and show how to avoid them. Organisers encourage families to attend and take advantage of the expert guidance on offer.

The event provides a hands-on opportunity for parents to check their child's car seat setup. With demonstrations and expert advice, visitors can leave with clearer knowledge of safe strapping methods. The Prävko team hopes the initiative will help reduce risks for young passengers on the road.
