The National Communications Authority (NCA) in Ghana recently hosted a delegation from Chad's Autorité de Régulation des Communications Électroniques et de la Poste (ARCEP) on 10th October, 2025. The visit aimed to share knowledge and explore learning areas to enhance regulatory work in Chad.

The NCA's Acting Head of the Regulatory Administration Division, Mr. Kofi Ntim Yeboah-Kordieh, emphasized the importance of such knowledge-sharing exercises for regulators across the sub-region. Mrs. Ophelia Ama Adjei, Assistant Manager at the NCA, briefed the visiting team on the Common Platform's legal frameworks, benefits, operational models, and challenges. The platform serves four key purposes: traffic monitoring, revenue assurance monitoring, fraud management, and mobile money monitoring. The visit concluded with a detailed tour of the Common Platform facility, where the ARCEP delegation observed real-time operations and engaged in discussions on adapting similar frameworks for Chad. Mr. Mahamat Saleh Yacoub, Head of the Interconnection and Roaming Department at ARCEP, expressed gratitude for the visit and looked forward to continued engagement with the NCA.

The NCA's Common Platform, a vital tool for regulatory work, was successfully showcased to the ARCEP delegation. Both parties expressed a commitment to continued collaboration, aiming to enhance regulatory practices in their respective countries.
