"Built on IT: Construction Careers of the Future" Competition Honors Digital Innovation in the Building Sector

Each year, the Built on IT: Construction Careers of the Future competition recognizes outstanding digital and practical solutions developed by trainees, students, young professionals, and startups. According to organizers, the diversity of submissions demonstrates how emerging talent in the construction industry is shaping its future through the use of digital methods and artificial intelligence.

In front of an audience of around 220 attendees, Cornelia Lutz, Senior Director of Exhibitions and BAU Project Manager at Messe München, alongside Ingo Reifgerste—Chairman of the Board at RKW e.V., Chair of the RG-Bau Advisory Board, and Managing Partner of Schleiff Bauflächentechnik GmbH & Co. KG—presented this year's awards to the competition's winners.

Prizes were awarded in four categories: architecture, civil engineering, construction process management, and skilled trades and technology. Additionally, two special awards were presented this year: the Startup Special Prize and the Ed. ZĂźblin AG Prize.

"This year's winners have impressed us with their exceptional quality and visionary ideas in this groundbreaking competition," said Jens Nagel, Managing Director of the RKW Competence Center. "Their outstanding work drives innovation, sustainability, and digitalization, serving as a vital engine for the future of the construction industry."
