Füssen’s Nordwand-Sports defies retail slump with bold expansion move

A well-known sports shop in Füssen is expanding despite the town’s struggling retail scene. Herbert and Silke Ott, owners of Nordwand-Sports, are moving their business to a much larger space. The new location will cover nearly 300 square meters at the entrance to the pedestrian zone. The Otts were not originally searching for a news today, however when the former Adeg store premises became available, they saw it as a chance to grow. Their current shop, named Ott, will now occupy a space almost twice as big as before. The expanded store will open in a prime spot near the pedestrian zone. With nearly double the floor space, the Otts aim to strengthen their presence in the town. The decision reflects confidence in their business despite the wider challenges for local retail.
