A violent street brawl in Fulda has left one man with serious stab wounds. Three others were injured after being exposed to pepper spray. Police have since arrested a 57-year-old man in connection with the attack.

The incident is one of several violent arrests reported across Germany on January 15, 2026.

The confrontation in Fulda escalated quickly, resulting in multiple injuries. One victim was taken to hospital with severe stab wounds, while three others required treatment for pepper spray exposure. Authorities have not yet confirmed the motive or the type of weapon used in the stabbing.

A 57-year-old suspect was later detained on charges of aggravated assault. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the altercation.

Elsewhere, police made three other arrests on the same day. In Vienna, a 26-year-old Austrian citizen was taken into custody at the Seestadt U-Bahn station for allegedly assaulting a homeless man. Meanwhile, a 58-year-old Turkish citizen was arrested in Mannheim on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm. A 25-year-old was also detained in Hanau for allegedly causing grievous bodily harm.

The Fulda attack has left one person in critical condition and three others with minor injuries. The arrested suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues. Authorities have not ruled out further arrests in connection with the incident.
