Friedberg Vehicle Break-ins: Six Cars and Camper Targeted
Friedberg residents were left shaken over the weekend as a series of vehicle break-ins targeted six cars and a camper, causing damage in the four-digit euro range. The incidents occurred in Breslauer Street, Wilhelm-Leuschner Street, and Königsberger Street, with the total cost of repairs yet to be fully assessed.
Among the vehicles affected were two gray Mercedes, a red Toyota, a red Opel, and a white Hyundai. The police are urging anyone who may have heard unusual noises, such as 'flexing noises', or noticed suspicious persons or vehicles in the vicinity to come forward. In a separate incident, unknown persons broke into a construction container between Rodheim and the B3, making off with two machines and a cable drum worth at least 3,000 euros. Witnesses are sought to help identify any suspicious activity around the construction site.
The police are treating these incidents seriously and are appealing for information from the public to help bring those responsible to justice. Anyone with information is urged to contact the local police station.
