Free Marburg workshop trains volunteers to guide youth in digital safety
The Marburg-Biedenkopf district is offering a free training session for volunteers who want to help children and adolescents navigate digital media safely. The workshop will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the district administration office in Marburg. Registration remains open until February 23, though no participant numbers have been reported yet for this session. The training aims to equip volunteers with practical skills for leading media literacy workshops. No prior experience is needed, and attendees will learn how to guide young people through the opportunities and risks of the digital world.
After completing the course, participants may have the chance to assist as facilitators in future sessions. The workshop runs from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Im Lichtenholz 60, Room 003. Those interested can register via the youth portal at www.lkmb.de/jugend, where further details about the district's youth programmes are also available. For questions, organisers Jannika Marré and Carolin Kirchhoff can be reached by email or phone.
The deadline for signing up is February 23, 2026. Volunteers who attend will gain hands-on preparation to support young people in developing responsible digital habits. Contact information and registration forms are accessible through the district's online youth portal.
