Frankfurt’s Park Tower gets a sustainable makeover with energy-efficient upgrades

Frankfurt’s Park Tower, built in 1972, is set for a major transformation. The iconic building will gain a new façade, a modest height increase, and a range of sustainable upgrades. Architectural firm HPP Architects is leading the redesign to create a modern, energy-efficient office tower.

The refurbished tower will feature a double-skin façade with built-in photovoltaic panels. These are expected to produce around 200,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity each year. The design also aims to cut primary energy demand to 79 kilowatt-hours per square metre annually, reducing CO₂ emissions.

The revitalised Park Tower will combine sustainability with modern office design. Its energy-efficient features and updated amenities aim to meet the needs of its tenant while reducing environmental impact. The project marks another step in Frankfurt’s evolving skyline.
