Frankfurt's Logistics Scene Set for Major Boost with LogiSpace Facility

A significant boost to Frankfurt's logistics scene is on the horizon. SpaceX, a major new logistics facility, is set to rise near Frankfurt Airport, underscoring the city's growing importance as a European hub. This project, a joint venture between Fraport Immobilienservice and MB Park Deutschland, is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2027.

The SpaceX facility, being constructed in the Taubengrund industrial area of Kelsterbach, will span 48,200 square meters. It will offer a substantial 25,230 square meters of warehouse and technical space, along with 3,360 square meters of mezzanine space and 3,300 square meters dedicated to offices and staff amenities. The site will boast 27 dock-level doors and 14 ground-level doors, supported by ample parking for both cars and trucks.

Energy efficiency is a key priority. The facility will utilize heat pumps for sustainable heating and cooling, aiming for DGNB Gold certification. Its location adjacent to Frankfurt Airport will provide rapid access to one of Europe's most dynamic economic regions, offering companies shorter transport routes and streamlined operations. The project is fully pre-leased, indicating robust demand for logistics space in the Rhine-Main region.

The SpaceX logistics center, set to complete in the first quarter of 2027, is poised to significantly enhance Frankfurt's logistics capabilities. Its energy-efficient design and strategic location will cater to the surging demand for modern logistics space, further cementing Frankfurt's status as a key European hub.
