Frankfurt's 'An der Sandelmühle' Quarter: A New Residential Oasis
A new residential quarter, 'An der Sandelmühle', is taking shape in Frankfurt Heddernheim. The quarter, a mix of multi-family homes, townhouses, and a kindergarten, is set to provide an attractive living environment for diverse groups. The project is a joint venture between Ten Brinke and ABG FRANKFURT HOLDING GmbH, transforming a previously commercially used area into a residential oasis.
The quarter, slated for completion by the end of the year, will feature around 160 apartments and townhouses. Nine multi-family homes will offer 207 apartments, while 67 townhouses provide additional housing options. Ten Brinke is constructing the townhouses and four multi-family homes with 46 owner-occupied apartments.
The project prioritizes energy efficiency. ABG Frankfurt Holding is building 121 rental apartments to Passive House standards in the first phase. Additionally, a daycare center with space for five groups will cater to the needs of young families.
Residents will enjoy proximity to the Frankfurt Greenbelt and the Nidda, with a subway station on-site for convenient city center access. Some living spaces are already available for sale, with construction ongoing at other locations.
The 'An der Sandelmühle' quarter is set to offer a diverse range of housing options, appealing to various target groups. With its focus on energy efficiency and attractive surroundings, it promises a high quality of life for future residents. The project's completion later this year will mark the successful transformation of a former commercial area into a thriving residential community.
