Frankfurt region hit by assault, taxi fraud, and attempted burglary in one week

Police are investigating multiple incidents across the Frankfurt and Hochtaunus regions this week. On Monday, a motorist was assaulted in Gravenwiesbach after a dispute with an unknown couple. Two days later, a man evaded paying for a taxi ride from Frankfurt to Bad Homburg, while burglars attempted to break into a home in Oberursel before fleeing when disturbed.

The first incident occurred on Monday, November 17, 2025, at around 8:15 p.m. on Naunstädter Straße in Gravenwiesbach. A 60-year-old driver was punched by a man following a verbal argument. The attacker, described as around 40 years old, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, and of stocky build, wore a brown cap, a grey jacket, and dark trousers. He spoke broken German and had a small, short-haired white dog with him. The assailant fled the scene before police arrived, and authorities are now appealing for witnesses to help identify him.

Authorities continue to investigate all three cases. The assault in Gravenwiesbach remains unsolved, with police urging anyone with information to come forward. Meanwhile, the taxi fraud suspect and the attempted burglars in Oberursel have not yet been identified. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
