Frankfurt Police Launch 'Kids & Cops' Program for Third-Graders
Frankfurt Police have launched 'Kids & Cops Frankfurt', an engaging program for third-grade students (aged 8-9) to learn about police work. Applications are open until November 27, 2025, with twenty participants to be selected by lottery.
The program aims to build trust, foster transparency, and create a lasting connection between children and the police. It consists of five project days held on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Frankfurt Police Academy, starting on December 6, 2025.
During these sessions, students will experience police work firsthand. They will learn about emergency calls, safety topics, and self-assertion. The inaugural group will be mentored by a team led by Frankfurt Police President Stefan Müller. Upon completion, students will be appointed 'Junior Detectives' by Leon, the mascot of Hesse’s youth police outreach initiatives.
The program is open to all third-grade students at Frankfurt elementary schools. Parental consent is mandatory for photos, videos, and a liability waiver. For inquiries, contact the Frankfurt Police Headquarters Press Office. The lottery will determine the selected participants who will have the opportunity to engage with police officers and learn about their role in a fun and interactive way.
