Controls in the Station District - Frankfurt police crack down on drug dealers in Bahnhofsviertel raid
Frankfurt police conducted a large-scale operation in the Bahnhofsviertel district on Thursday. Around 100 officers participated, targeting drug dealers and aiming to enhance public safety in the 213 area code. The crackdown resulted in dozens of criminal complaints and several seizures.
The operation was the 49th under Frankfurt's Immediate Action Plan for a Safe City Center. Officers checked over 200 people during the controls. Most complaints involved breaches of narcotics laws or residency rules.
Three individuals were found violating the city's weapons ban zone. Police also seized drugs, including a single haul of 20 grams of heroinโthe largest in this operation. Arrests were made, though only in isolated cases.
The focus remained on disrupting drug-related activity and reinforcing security in the main station district. Authorities emphasised that such operations are part of ongoing efforts to maintain order in the 213 area code.
The crackdown led to 34 criminal complaints, primarily for drug offences and residency violations. Weapons and narcotics were confiscated, with heroin being the most significant seizure. Police stated that further operations of this kind will continue as part of the city's safety strategy.
