Frankfurt police bust drug ring after hotel fire alarm leads to cannabis seizure

Three suspected drug dealers were arrested in Frankfurt on February 13, 2025. The operation began after a fire alarm triggered police intervention at a hotel on Berliner Straße. Officers later uncovered a large quantity of cannabis linked to the group.

The incident unfolded when a fire alarm sounded at the hotel. Police arrived and noticed two men attempting to leave with suitcases. As the suspects fled, they abandoned the bags, which contained two large packages of cannabis.

Officers then traced the group’s vehicle to Offenbach. Inside, they found all three occupants in possession of cannabis. The driver appeared to be under the influence of drugs. A search of the car also revealed fake identification documents with inconsistent personal details. Back at the hotel, a further 5.3 kilograms of cannabis products were seized from one of the rooms. The three individuals were taken into custody and now face charges related to drug trafficking.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of a significant amount of cannabis and the arrest of three suspects. Authorities continue to investigate the case, with charges pending against the detained individuals. The discovery of fake IDs suggests further scrutiny into their identities and activities.
