Frankfurt hit by coordinated van break-ins targeting high-tech components

The incidents took place across five locations: Berner Straße, Hadrianstraße, Homburger Landstraße, Gerhart-Hauptmann-Ring, and Am Ginnheimer Wäldchen. In each case, the perpetrators focused on removing high-value interior parts rather than the vehicles themselves.

The pattern suggests a coordinated effort, with all six vans suffering similar damage. Police confirmed the thefts were methodical, indicating the thieves likely had prior knowledge of the vans’ components.

The Criminal Investigation Department has launched an inquiry into the crimes. As of now, no suspects have been named, and no public reports link the thefts to any known groups.

The series of thefts leaves six vans without critical onboard systems. Authorities continue their investigation but have not released further details. Vehicle owners in the area remain on alert for similar incidents.
