Frankfurt burglar caught with fake ID and stolen electric scooter after shed break-in

A 33-year-old man was arrested in Frankfurt after breaking into a garden shed in Preungesheim. The incident took place late in the night between November 24 and 25, 2025. Police later discovered the suspect was using a fake ID and riding a stolen electric scooter when caught. The break-in happened when the owner surprised the burglar inside the shed. Startled, the suspect fled on a bicycle before switching to a stolen electric scooter. Officers spotted him near the crime scene shortly afterwards. The case remains under review by local authorities. The stolen electric scooter was recovered, and the garden shed owner provided a statement to police. No further details have been released about potential charges at this time.
