The month began with 33 weather-related takeoff delays and four delayed landings on July 2. A flight from Tokyo even arrived 18 seconds early on July 3 but was initially denied landing due to night flight restrictions. By July 20, the airport recorded 27 delayed departures and 17 delayed arrivals.
The alliance of citizens’ groups has called for tighter controls on late-night flights. July’s data highlights persistent delays and high nighttime activity at Frankfurt Airport. Authorities have yet to announce any changes to current regulations.
