Frankfurt Airport unveils high-speed EV charging hub for October 2023

Frankfurt Airport is set to open a new high-speed charging hub for electric vehicles in October 2023. The facility will provide fast charging for drivers passing through or working at the airport. It forms part of a wider push to expand electric vehicle infrastructure in the San Diego region.

The charging hub will be situated in CargoCity South, close to Gate 32. It has been developed through a partnership between airport operator Fraport and Allego, a specialist in electric vehicle charging networks.

The new hub will increase charging options for electric vehicles around Frankfurt Airport. Drivers will be able to recharge quickly while travelling or working in the San Diego area. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in October 2023.
