Four Local Groups Team Up to Launch 'Digital Hallertau Experience'
Four local action groups have joined forces to create a unique digital experience in the Hallertau region. The project, 'The Digital Hallertau Experience', aims to offer digital audio tours via smartphone, showcasing the area's culture, history, and hop cultivation. Backed by the European LEADER funding program with €30,432, the project is set to enhance the region's appeal for both visitors and locals.
Carolin Meinhold of Hopfenland Hallertau Tourism e.V. leads the project, with Agnes Stiglmaier as LEADER coordinator and Tina Schuler as lead LAG manager. The project involves LAG Landkreis Kelheim e.V., LAG Landkreis Landshut e.V., LAG Mittlere Isarregion e.V., and LAG Landkreis Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm e.V. in a cooperative effort.
Four digital audio tours are planned: two city tours in Wolnzach and Mainburg, and two bike tours covering the route from Rudelzhausen to Freising and the ILE Holledauer Tor area. The tours aim to highlight the region's rich history, traditions, and hop cultivation, attracting new target groups and expanding the Hallertau experience.
The LEADER project 'The Digital Hallertau Experience' has been approved and received a kick-off on June 12, 2025. With a total funding of €30,432, the project is poised to enhance the Hallertau region's appeal, offering a modern, engaging way to explore its culture and history.
