Four arrested after violent Offenbach apartment break-in and theft
Four suspects have been arrested after a violent break-in at a residential building in Offenbach. The burglary took place on Sunday just after midday, with the group allegedly forcing their way into an apartment. Police detained the individuals shortly after the incident, recovering stolen items at the scene.
The crime unfolded around 12:35 p.m. on Sunday, when the suspects reportedly used a tool to break open the door of an upper-floor apartment on MerianstraĂe. Once inside, they damaged furniture while searching for valuables. Cash and jewellery were taken before the group left the scene.
Offenbach police arrested the four suspects near the building shortly afterwards. A fifth person, a minor below the age of criminal responsibility, was also involved but not detained. Officers seized the stolen goods as evidence before taking the suspects into provisional custody. On Monday afternoon, the four were brought before a judge at Offenbach District Court. Arrest warrants were issued on suspicion of aggravated residential burglary, and all four were remanded in pretrial detention.
The investigation remains ongoing, with the suspects facing serious charges. The stolen property has been recovered, and the case will now proceed through the judicial system. No further details about the suspects' identities or potential motives have been released.
