FKS Inspections Uncover Wage Violations and Immigration Infractions
On April 11, 2025, a team from the Financial Control Schwarzarbeit (FKS) at Singen conducted inspections at six barbershops and nail salons across Singen, Schramberg, Oberndorf a.N., and Tuttlingen. The inspections aimed to ensure compliance with social security obligations and the minimum wage of 12.82 euros gross per hour.
During the inspections, initial suspicions arose in two cases. These involved potential violations such as withholding and misappropriating wages, failing to maintain proper records, and not adhering to the minimum wage requirements. Additionally, an illegal stay of a Vietnamese national was discovered, along with a case of employing a foreigner without the necessary work permit.
The FKS team found several potential violations during their inspections. Two cases showed initial signs of wage-related offenses and non-compliance with record-keeping and minimum wage regulations. Furthermore, an illegal stay of a Vietnamese national and an instance of employing a foreigner without proper work permission were uncovered. Further investigations are likely to follow.
