A five-vehicle crash on the A3 motorway near Limburg left two people with minor injuries late in the evening. The collision caused a truck to collide with a car, sending it spinning and flipping multiple times across the road. Debris scattered over hundreds of metres, forcing a temporary closure of the Frankfurt-bound lanes.

The incident began when a truck changed lanes and struck a car, triggering a chain reaction. Two additional cars and another truck then crashed while trying to avoid the wreckage. Light traffic at the time helped prevent major congestion despite the lane closure.

The two occupants of the first car were taken to nearby hospitals with minor injuries. During the investigation, officers discovered evidence suggesting stolen goods may have been inside one of the vehicles. The car in question was impounded, and the inquiry into the stolen items remains ongoing.

Authorities estimated the total damage from the crash at €12,250.

The A3 motorway near Limburg saw disruptions after the collision, with debris clearing and investigations extending into the night. The two injured individuals received medical treatment, while police continue to examine the suspected stolen goods. The incident serves as a reminder of the risks posed by sudden lane changes on busy motorways.
