First Nonprofit Acquires NPS to Expand Unemployment Insurance for Nonprofits

Nonprofit Services Insurance Agency (NPS), a specialist in unemployment insurance for nonprofits, has been acquired by First Nonprofit Companies, Inc. (FNP). The deal brings together two long-standing providers in the sector, with NPS maintaining its leadership under co-founders Dennis Costa and Mark Hanson.

Based in Longview, Washington, NPS has delivered alternative unemployment insurance solutions to nonprofits for over two decades. The company focuses on captive management and tailored coverage for 501(c)3 organizations, helping them manage risks more effectively.

The deal strengthens FNP’s position in the nonprofit insurance market. NPS will retain its focus on captive management while benefiting from FNP’s wider resources. Clients of both companies can expect a broader selection of unemployment insurance options moving forward.
