A series of car fires broke out in two Offenbach parking garages in the early hours of December 20, 2025. Several vehicles were damaged, with losses totalling tens of thousands of euros. Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the blazes.
The first fire was reported in a parking garage near Marktplatz. One car suffered severe damage, with estimated losses reaching €20,000. Not long after, flames broke out in a second facility, where five more vehicles were affected. The damage there amounted to around €70,000.
The Hessian State Criminal Police Office has taken charge of the investigation. Authorities are examining both scenes but have not identified a cause. They are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
The fires remain under investigation, with no clear explanation so far. Witnesses or those with relevant details are being asked to contact the police. The total financial impact from the incidents stands at roughly €90,000.
