Around 6,200 residents in Königstein and Bad Soden am Taunus faced an early-morning power cut on Tuesday. The outage left homes and businesses without electricity for several hours before supplies were restored.

The disruption began in the early hours, affecting large parts of both towns. According to the local grid operator, a faulty cable triggered the blackout.

Repair teams worked quickly to identify and fix the issue. After roughly three hours, all affected properties were reconnected to the national grid. No further details about the exact cause of the cable fault have been released.
