Falken Tyre Europe celebrates 40 years of performance and innovation

Falken Tyre Europe GmbH is marking its 40th anniversary in 2023. The company, known for its high-performance tires, has grown from a single product launch in 1983 to a major supplier across Europe. Its journey includes milestones in sustainability, motorsport success, and strong industry partnerships.

The brand's story began in 1983 with the release of its first tire, the FK06C. Though officially founded in 2008, Falken had already been operating for two decades under Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. Today, it serves over 8,000 dealers, automakers, and fitting centres across Europe.

Since 2008, the company has produced tires using 97% non-fossil materials. Its long-term goal is to make all high-durability tires from fully sustainable resources by 2050. Production and logistics remain centralised in Offenbach and Dortmund, with no additional European sites. Falken has also made a name in motorsport, winning multiple championships. Partnerships with top European sports teams and events have strengthened its reputation. For its 40th anniversary, the company adopted the motto *'Falken – 40 Years of Performance'* to reflect its legacy.

The anniversary highlights Falken's growth from a single tire model to a key player in Europe's automotive industry. With a focus on sustainability and performance, the company continues to expand its influence. Its future plans include further advancements in eco-friendly tire production by mid-century.
