Ex-SPD lawmaker Martina Stamm-Fibich now leads SBK's political advocacy
Martina Stamm-Fibich has taken on a new role as head of political affairs at SBK Siemens-Betriebskrankenkasse. The appointment follows her long career in politics, where she focused on health insurance and patient rights. She now leads the health fund's engagement with policymakers at both federal and state levels.
Stamm-Fibich brings extensive political experience to SBK. From 2013 to 2025, she served as an SPD member of the Bundestag, sitting on the Health Committee and chairing the Petitions Committee. Between 2018 and 2025, she also acted as the SPD parliamentary group's spokesperson for patient rights, addressing a wide range of health insurance issues.
Before entering politics, she worked at Siemens in corporate communications. She later became a full-time works council representative, gaining further experience in employee advocacy.
In her new position, Stamm-Fibich will shape SBK's political strategy. Her goal is to represent the fund's insured members with clarity and pragmatism. The health fund expects her background to strengthen its advocacy efforts on behalf of policyholders.
Stamm-Fibich's move from parliament to SBK marks a shift from lawmaking to direct policy engagement. Her experience in health insurance and corporate advocacy positions her to influence decisions affecting the fund's members. The role will involve regular discussions with lawmakers to advance SBK's priorities.
