EVO Slashes District Heating Prices by 19% for 2,000+ Offenbach Homes
EVO, a leading energy supplier, has announced a significant reduction in district heating prices for residents in Offenbach and surrounding areas, effective October 1, 2024. This move is part of EVO's ambitious plan to become fully climate-neutral by 2040.
The price reduction, amounting to 19%, will benefit over 2,000 households, businesses, and housing associations in Offenbach, Heusenstamm, and Neu-Isenburg. A three-person household with an average consumption of 18,000 kilowatt hours can expect to save around 512 euros a year.
EVO's district heating system is an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional gas and oil heating. It contributes to a sustainable energy supply by using regional, sustainable energy carriers and reducing dependence on global energy imports. This not only helps combat climate change but also ensures high supply security for customers.
To achieve its climate-neutral goal by 2040, EVO plans to utilise waste heat from data centers and increase power plant production without burning more waste. This innovative approach demonstrates EVO's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Starting October 1, 2024, residents in Offenbach and surrounding areas will enjoy significantly lower heating costs. This reduction, along with EVO's long-term plans to utilise waste heat and increase production without burning more waste, underscores the company's dedication to a greener, more sustainable future.
