Eschwege police seek witnesses after two hit-and-run crashes on Friday

Eschwege police are looking into two separate hit-and-run incidents that took place last Friday. Both cases involved parked cars being struck by unknown drivers. Authorities have now asked the public for help in identifying those responsible.

The first incident happened at Schlossplatz in Eschwege. Between 10:50 a.m. and 11:25 a.m., an unidentified driver damaged a parked black Kia ProCeed. The collision caused around €700 worth of damage to the left side of the front bumper.

Less than an hour earlier, at approximately 10:10 a.m., another hit-and-run occurred in Waldkappel. There, a parked Renault Twingo was struck by what is believed to be a white minivan. The impact broke off the driver's side mirror and likely damaged the rear lights of the fleeing vehicle.

According to official police statistics from the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, no similar hit-and-run cases were reported in the Werra-Meißner or Kassel districts over the past twelve months.

Police have urged anyone with information about either incident to come forward. Witnesses or those with relevant details are encouraged to contact the authorities. The investigations remain ongoing.
