Emmendingen hosts free event on sustainable transport options this May

An information evening on sustainable transport will take place in Emmendingen on Thursday, May 21, 2026. The free event, titled ā€˜Frelo, Carsharing, Cargo Bikes, and City Buses’, will highlight eco-friendly ways to get around the city. Organisers include the Adult Education Center, the city itself, and Emmendingen District. The session runs from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at an undisclosed venue in Emmendingen. It forms part of the wider series ā€˜Enhancing Quality of Life Through Climate Protection’ and aims to promote greener travel choices.

Attendees will receive practical details on local services. Topics include the Frelo bike-sharing scheme, shared car options, and free cargo bike rentals available at the train station. The event will also cover registration steps, pricing, and how to book these services. Entry is free, but participants must register in advance through the Adult Education Center. No walk-ins will be permitted without prior sign-up.
