Elderly woman thwarts late-night home invasion in Neu-Isenburg

Police in Offenbach are investigating a burglary attempt in Neu-Isenburg after an elderly woman disturbed an intruder in her home early Wednesday. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Friedensallee, where the suspect forced entry but fled without stealing anything.

The break-in began when the man forced open the front door of a multi-family house. He then tried to enter the elderly resident's flat, leaving pry marks on a rear balcony. The woman confronted him inside, prompting the suspect to run away.

The suspect remains at large, and police continue to gather evidence. The elderly resident was unharmed, and no property was stolen. Investigators are focusing on witness statements to track down the intruder.
