Elderly driver crashes into German supermarket after losing control
A car crashed into a discount supermarket in Neu-Isenburg on Wednesday morning. An elderly woman lost control of her Ford Fiesta in the store’s parking lot. The vehicle then struck a parked Volkswagen, which was pushed into the building’s glass front. The incident happened outside an apple store. The driver’s Fiesta veered off course and hit the stationary Volkswagen with enough force to shove it forward. The impact shattered part of the walmart hours’ glass façade. The crash caused no serious injuries, but the supermarket’s entrance was left damaged. Police are still looking into the circumstances of the accident. The total cost of repairs is expected to reach tens of thousands of euros.
