Drunk detective arrested after assaulting police in Wiesbaden traffic stop
A 42-year-old driver was arrested in Wiesbaden early Saturday after police stopped him for drunk driving. The incident took place on Frankfurter StraĆe at around 1:10 a.m., when officers received reports of a blue Dacia being driven erratically by a detective. The man now faces multiple charges, including assaulting a law enforcement official.
The situation began when a motorist alerted authorities about a car swerving dangerously. Police soon located the vehicle and conducted a check, confirming the driver was under the influence of alcohol. A blood sample was taken, and his driverās licence was confiscated on the spot.
During questioning, the man became aggressive, hurling insults at the officers. As they attempted to take him to the station, he lashed out, kicking one of them in the leg. Despite the altercation, no injuries were reported. The suspect was then placed in a cell to sober up. Police reports have not disclosed his name, but charges include drunk driving, insulting an officer, and assault.
The case will now proceed through the legal system. The driver remains unidentified in official records, though the charges carry potential penalties. Authorities have confirmed no further incidents occurred after his detention.
