Drunk 25-year-old woman causes crash on A66, injuring herself and damaging cars
A late Sunday evening on the A66 highway near Wiesbaden ended in disaster when a drunk driver caused a rear-end collision. The incident, which occurred at 21:55, left a 25-year-old woman injured and resulted in significant property damage.
The 25-year-old woman, who was driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level over 1.3 per mille, misjudged the distance to the vehicle ahead. She crashed into the rear of the car driven by a 38-year-old, causing damage to both vehicles. The total estimated property damage amounts to approximately €11,000.
The 38-year-old driver managed to control his vehicle and pull it onto the hard shoulder. However, the 25-year-old woman was injured in the collision and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. Police responded swiftly, ordering a blood sample from the woman and confiscating her driver’s license.
The 25-year-old woman's reckless and irresponsible behaviour resulted in injury, property damage, and disruption to other road users. She now faces potential legal consequences and will be required to attend a court hearing.
