Driver flips car in Vogelsbergkreis after losing control on sharp bend

A 30-year-old driver crashed on State Road 3348 in Vogelsbergkreis on September 5. The accident left the car overturned and caused minor injuries to the driver, who was rushed to hospital for treatment. The incident happened as the driver travelled from Wingershausen toward Federal Highway 276. At a sharp left-hand bend, the Volkswagen veered off the road, skidding onto the shoulder before leaving the carriageway entirely.

The car then collided with a small tree, flipping over and landing upside down. Emergency services attended the scene, and the driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The crash resulted in roughly €7,000 of property damage. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, though no other vehicles were involved.

The driver remains under medical observation following the crash. Repairs to the vehicle and roadside damage will be assessed in the coming days. Police have yet to release further details about the incident.
