Driver escapes serious injury after car flips in Hohenstein-Born crash
A 25-year-old driver from Rüdesheim was injured after his car flipped near Hohenstein-Born on Thursday. The crash left the vehicle completely written off. Meanwhile, in Eltville, a parked car had its window smashed in an unrelated incident earlier that morning.
The accident occurred when the man lost control of his Opel Astra. The car rolled over, causing minor injuries to the driver. Police attended the scene, though the exact cause of the crash remains unclear.
Earlier that day, between 5:00 AM and 10:30 AM, vandals targeted a parked vehicle in Eltville. The passenger-side window was shattered, but no further damage was reported.
In serious traffic incidents like the Hohenstein-Born crash, Hessen police follow strict procedures. These include bringing in accident reconstruction experts, fully cordoning off the site, and searching for witnesses. Toxicology tests for alcohol or drugs are also standard, as seen in a previous case in Rimbach on 26 February.
The driver from Rüdesheim escaped with only minor injuries, though his car was destroyed. Investigations into both the crash and the vandalism in Eltville are ongoing. Police have not yet released further details on either case.
