Driver Caught at 122 km/h in 50 km/h Zone Faces Severe Penalties
Westhessen Police Headquarters recently revealed a shocking incident of speeding in Wiesbaden-Biebrich. A driver was caught travelling at 122 km/h in a 50 km/h zone, leading to severe penalties.
On October 18, a mobile speed test was set up on the Biebricher Allee. An Audi A6 driver, whose name has not been disclosed, was caught speeding at an alarming 122 km/h. This was more than double the permitted speed limit of 50 km/h in the area.
The driver, still in their probationary period, faced severe consequences. They were issued a driving ban, along with several hundred euros in fines. Additionally, they were ordered to attend a mandatory retraining course. This course extended their probationary period by two years. Meanwhile, officers also used the crackdown to check drivers for noise pollution and motorcyclists for reckless driving.
The Westhessen Police Headquarters announced the incident on social media, serving as a stark reminder of the dangers of speeding. The driver's actions resulted in significant penalties, highlighting the importance of adhering to speed limits.
